Water-drop shaped museum on Teshima by Ryue Nishizawa, housing a single Rei Naito installation.
The Teshima Art Museum, a collaboration between architect Ryue Nishizawa and artist Rei Naito, is a single shell-shaped concrete structure with no internal columns, set amid restored rice terraces on Teshima island. The building has two oval openings to the sky through which wind, light, rain, and birdsong enter. Inside, water droplets emerge from the floor and travel across the surface, creating an ever-changing living artwork called "Matrix."
