Contemporary art gallery in a converted 200-year-old bathhouse in Yanaka, Tokyo.
SCAI The Bathhouse is a contemporary art gallery housed in a converted 200-year-old public bathhouse in Tokyo's historic Yanaka district. Since 1993, it has presented cutting-edge exhibitions by both Japanese and international artists, including Lee Ufan, Anish Kapoor, and Tatsuo Miyajima. The intimate space preserves elements of the original sento architecture while showcasing avant-garde installations.
