金沢の兼六園は日本三名園の一つで、1620年代から金沢城の外庭として整備されました。名称は中国の造園理論における理想の庭の六つの要素「宏大・幽邃・人力・蒼古・水泉・眺望」を兼ね備えることに由来します。11.4ヘクタールの園内に池、小川、滝、丹念に手入れされた植栽が広がります。
