Designed by SANAA (Sejima and Nishizawa), the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa is a landmark of contemporary architecture and art. Its circular glass-walled building has no front or back, embodying openness. The museum is famous for Leandro Erlich's "The Swimming Pool," an interactive installation that creates the illusion of people standing underwater.
