Japan's first open-air museum, opened in 1969, the Hakone Open-Air Museum displays over 120 sculptures across a spacious outdoor setting with the Hakone mountains as a backdrop. The collection includes works by Henry Moore, Auguste Rodin, and other major sculptors. A dedicated Picasso Pavilion houses over 300 works by the Spanish master, and the Symphonic Sculpture tower features a stunning stained-glass interior.
